    sound configuration

    hi, i have installed lenny on my amd-64 based pc
    my ls|grep -i audio gives this
    00:05.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP61 High Definition Audio (rev a2)
    i have installed all the gstreamer plugins from good bad and ugly set. my sound device driver is not configured
    even alsaconf couldnt recognise the driver..
    please help...

    AFAIK, alsaconf is not available in Debian's default sources now.
    Have you tried alsamixer?
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
