    NM-Applet amnesia

    Hi!

    I'm having a problem with my nm-applet!

Whenever I connect to my Wireless Network at home I have to reenter the Key for my network, so I'm wondering if there is no way to select a prefered Network and have therefor the Key stored!

I hope you have an idea how to solve this!

    regards

It's not asking you to put a password for managing your keyring ? i mean you have to enter the wifi key or a password, nm-applet should ask you to provide a password for a specific internet wifi !

You can look at installing pam_keyring which will attempt to unlock your gnome-keyring and allow network manager to access your network keys. It sometimes takes a bit of configuring but it's well worth getting going. Ubuntu has this configured out of the box.

I'm not yet using the gnome-keyring, is there any equivalent available for xfce or can I use the gnome-keyring for xfce as well?
