    i can't load kde apps because of kded crash

    Hi, I'm using Debian etch and my principal X manager is gnome, today I tried to use, from Gnome, some of my KDE favorite apps, such as K3B and kaffeine, but They doesn't respond, I tried to execute them from a terminal and I got the next error:

    kded: Error communication problem with kded, it probably crashed

    Few days ago those application work very good, but I don't know waht happened with them,

    so, can you help me with this issue?

    Hi,
    I think u find out from /var/log/syslog and see where the problem comes from.

    Will they not launch from within KDE, either?

    If no, maybe you can rename the hidden .kde folder in your /home/username directory, log out, and then log back in to let the folder and config files rebuild themselves.

    If it works, you'll need to tweak kde again, but if it doesn't work, you can just rename the old .kde folder back to what it was.

    Not sure it'll work, but something you could try.
