    aptget trouble

    I installed a 1cd kde version of debain.Then i downloaded 3 dvd's of debain now.I want to install pakages from this.Is it possible to set some files so that
    i can use apt-get command to update from the dvd downloaded.I dont have internet connection at home.So this question is raised?????????????

    Hi and Welcome !

    Add DVD in sources and install packages from it. Execute this
    Code:
    su -
apt-cdrom add
apt-get update
    apt-cdrom works for DVD too.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
