DHCP Autoconfiguration Trouble During Netinstall
Hello,
I am new to Linux and I am trying to install Debian (latest version) using the netinstall cd. Everything goes fine during the installation until I get to the Autoconfig. of DHCP. It fails after trying to autodetect. Attached (in txt format) is the contents of what I see when I press alt-f4 (the log console?) after trying to autoomatically configure DHCP.
I have no idea what any of this means, so if someone could point me to a website that explains this in laymen's terms I would appreciate it.
ANy help is greatly appreciated..
Thanks,
John

Hi
We can see from the log , the linux recognized your network adapter and loaded the driver . GOOD
But the dhcp client not recive any offer, can't get ip address.
Have you any router or firewall device which may block dhcp protocoll?

Hi
I did some search with google and saw your router is a wireless device so you are using wireless network, it gives us more questions.
Have you more than one network adapter in you PC? May the linux not recognize your wireless interfeace , it almost sure , because udev gave the name eth0 to the adapter.
Are you using an encrypted connection WEP/WPA or anything else?
boot up with a livecd and give us the output of "lspci" command
