Debian boot messages
When I boot debian, it posts a bunch of stuff, it doesn't look very formatted, how can I change what it shows, so I can format it better, if you tell me a file or files that I need to change, I can google the rest, thanks for any help

I'm not sure that it will help, but take a look through the Linux BootPrompt HowTo for some clues on changing the format of the boot messages.
Also, take a look at this page. It's old but looks informative.

I think that the /etc/init.d/rc file is what is first in the boot process, im scanning over it, trying to understand it.
I looked at this. Debian Sarge - Boot process
How can I echo a message in a certain color? I am editing /etc/inittab, I am in VMWare so if I break anything not a big deal.
