    The Ultimate Noob

    Hi there, I have never used linux before in my life. And all I know is that it is a open source operating system. I would like to start using this wonderfull system, since I am getting tired of windows kicking my ass all over the floor. So where do I start, or is there a site that could point me in the right direction? I was at the official home page, but they direct you to so many products of linux that I dont know where to start.

    Just my opinion

    Welcome to Linux, I just would like to recommend either "Fedora" or "Ubuntu" for distributions thats what I use and have found alot of help.

    Good luck, come back to the forums for any help (also use Google).
