    Wireless Not Connecting

    Hi,

    I have configured Wireless card IPW2200 (Intel Pro) on my laptop. My wireless uses WPA-PSK TKIP. I installed WPA_Supplicant but still unable to get my Wireless connected.

    My wpa_supplicant.conf

    ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant

    Code:
    network={
    ssid="spider"
    key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
    proto=WPA
     pairwise=TKIP
    # group=TKIP
    psk="my_ssid"

    }
    I run command

    Code:
    wpa_supplicant -i eth2 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf -D ipw -d
    I get following message

    Code:
    Initializing interface 'eth2' conf '/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf' driver 'ipw' ctrl_interface 'N/A' bridge 'N/A'

    Hi,
    How about if u try using WPA-PSK AES in your router settup, or whatever u use for your wireless connection.
    Maybe one thing u should remember setting are easier to follow if u tell us then config of both the Sender and the reciever, u only gave us the reciever.

    Cheers

    Unfortunately I am unable to give configuration file of Router. But the thing I know is we are using WPA-PSK TKIP.

    Is there any other file I can provide?

    I'm not sure if this will work for you, but when I couldn't get the WPA-TKIP to work, I used wpa_passphrase "my ssid" "my wpa key", then i copied the result into my wpa_supplicant.conf file. I then used wpa_gui and used the PASSPHRASE, not the actual key in the PSK section then i connected via dhcp. Might want to give that a try and see if it works.
