    Question Another boot/grub Problem...

I have Etch and XP installed on Drives 1 and 0 respectively. I had some problems with XP (normally, I'll boot into it a couple of times a month just to keep things updated, etc..) and had to perform a restore from backup; now I have no way of booting into Linux, the selection menu doesn't even appear.
Most distros have a 'recovery', but unless I missed it, there is none on the Debian CD. I realize this is a trivial problem for many of you, and if this were Gentoo, I'd have no problem with it, but I'm still not that familiar with Debian.
Is there a "live" CD that can be booted, or possibly Insert or Helix, and the partitions mounted and grub installed ?

    Welcome to the forums, zaras!

Try using the current version of the SuperGRUB LiveCD to fix your bootloader. It's easy to use, and it works with Linux and Windows bootloaders, so is a good thing to keep on hand.
