From the command line and with root permissions, issue the following commands:
Code:echo 'deb ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/ etch main' >> /etc/apt/sources.list
Then try installing xorg and gnome again.Code:apt-get update

Code:apt-get update apt-get dist-upgrade apt-get install xorg
