    snmp config problems

    Hey!

I'm setting up monitoring on my server and it is using snmp.
Problem is that I dont get cpu, memory, packet loss etc info. What I can see is uptime and response time. How should the snmpd be configured to access that data? I need a walkthrough as I'm not that experienced in Linux.

Snmp responds locally (127.0.0.1) but not to the monitoring tool.

System: Debian 4 (Lenny at the moment will reinstall to stable soon), using OpManager, Build 7025, on vista workstation for monitoring purpose (my desktop), LAN set up with D-link router, no port forwarding set because I'll tunnel thru putty to access monitor.

Believe me, I've googled with no luck.
    Thanx in advance.

Oki I got it working with these tutorials:
First off: SNMP Server(snmpd) and Client(snmp) Installation and Configuration in Debian
    And the second: Net-SNMP

I did not use a "SNMPv3 read-write user" but did use the rest.

There's a few things not responding as Disk Utilization, cannot get processes to run either but CPU, Memory utilization and availability as response time are running. To mention I have set it up through SSH.

Had to restart the tool, OpManager, and it lost all settings done earlier and it took the first ones for some strange reasons. Then I got DiskUtilization to run (?) Well good I think, one step further and without a clue
Still some services, not processes that I mentioned above, are not functioning. But as it looks they will be running soon.
