BT Home Hub + connecting to internet

    Hi

I'm a complete Debian noob, but pretty good with computers generally.

I have installed Debian 4.0 Etch with no trouble, but how do I get on the web?

I have a BT Home Hub and would like to connect via ethernet, so far from searching the web (on another PC) I have found that it can be done by using NDISwrapper to 'wrap' the windows driver for the hub - is this what I want to be doing?

Is there another (better) way? And/or is anybody already using a BT Home Hub as a router and can talk me through how they did it?

    Thank you!
    Tom

If you are connecting via ethernet, then I don't see why ndiswrapper would be needed. What happens if you plugin your system via the ethernet cable to the home hub and power up your computer, then try to browse the web? If your computer was already running, you can plug it into the router and as root run
    Code:
    /etc/init.d/network restart
After that try browsing the web.

Thanks that works great I had tried the ethernet before but to no avail (and it still doesn't work) but I tried the USB connection to the Home Hub and this works fine - abit odd?

    Cheers again
