    Glibc_2.4

    I need glibc_2.4 for debian.
    Where can get this?

I dont have a internet connection to my debian machine, because of this.
Need to install some drivers for a connection device, and they need glibc_2.4.

I tried searching for it in DVD1 and DVD2. Didnt find it.
    Seems like they have glibc_2.3.6

Dont you think it would be pretty odd to include glibc_2.3.6 in the installation, and leave the glibc_2.4 on the disk just in case? If glibc_2.4 was on the disk, it would be logical to assume that it would include in the installation, instead of the 2.3.6 version.

If you still think it is on one of the DVDs or CDs, please tell me exactly where and what the package name is. Because your answer seems to be a incorrect 5 second assumption that didnt help me much.

Ok i understand what you mean, Glibc 2.4 is a requirement for the drivers that you wanna install ( as you said) and your debian version has 2.3.6.

I'm not sure if you can do it easily, but please tell me wish version of debian you are using and if you don't mind, what kind of drivers you need to install.

I downloaded the Debian ISOs from this URL: Index of /debian-cd/4.0_r3/amd64/iso-dvd

So I guess the version is 4.0_r3 or something, and for the amd64 architecture. Isnt that the newest one?

The drivers I want to install are for a mobile broadband modem, connected through a USB port. You can see it at Ice - Mobilt bredbÄnd. Dont know if they have english pages, but you can look.

Next step after I get that to work is to set up some routing on the server.
