Amavis running problem
Hi everybody,
3 days ago I had the Debian Sarge mail server working perfectly, but since yesterday I have a problem on running amavis daemon.
The problem started when clamav was outdated and it made Postfix/Courier fail.
After googling, I could add the volatile repository to my sources.list and I could finally upgrade clamav 0.90 to 0.92, and It made Mail work....or it seemed until I tried it.
After that, I got send and receive mails just if the line
# content_filter = amavis:[127.0.0.1]:10024
in the main.cf postfix file was commented.
So, the problem is that when I try to start amavis daemon I just see
/etc/init.d/amavis restart
Stopping amavisd: (not running).
Starting amavisd: amavisd-new.
So, amavis is never running...
I have been reading all the logs on /var/log/, but the only word I found were:
(amavis) CMD (test -e /usr/bin/sa-learn && test -e /usr/sbin/amavisd-new && /usr/bin/sa-learn --rebuild >/d
ev/null 2>&1)
on syslog.
Any ideas of how to make amavis filter work again?
Thanks!
