Can not get USB Headset to Work.

    hi guys,

I am pretty sure that my new usb headset (which I know works) is not being mounted due to debians inabilty to detect some peices of new hardware.

Can anyone tell me how to mount it; or is it some other problem?

I dont see it under the /dev, unlike my portable hard drive.

    Thanks for reading guys.

    Once again, to my rescue

    Exclamation Ohhh NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL..... This is so horrible. I went to download "hotplug" to see if i could fix the problem myself, and carelessly out of habit and while eating, did not look to see what it wanted to remove, and guess what, it was...... my kernel.

Anyway, this since this has escalated now, does anyone here think they can help me out?--I did not remove the kernel, because it prompted me again to, but i thought it said it got rid of gnome, but its still working, although the internet is now broke as well. I am currently using my laptop, I have alot of stuff on my computer and I dont want to format it, I have the cd's though, can you please tell me step by step what I should do?

This time I wont make the same mistake, I shall wait until someone answers me.
