    has anyone come across a compatible driver for a netgear usb wireless dongle so that I can expand debian across onto a second PC or what usb/pci wifi cards are compatible out of the box?

    What you need to do is check the chipset that the card uses. Plugin the card and then enter the commands
    Code:
    #lspci | grep -i net
    and
    Code:
    #lsusb
