[SOLVED] Scrambled screen...
Hi, I installed debian-40r2-i386 today, but I'm getting a weird scrambled screen (coloured flashing lines) when it boots up. It seems to go to this screen when the Xserver loads. I thought it might be trying to use a resolution that's too high, so I reinstalled completely and selected only 1024x768 and lower resolutions in the setup, but the same thing still happens... Any ideas? thx!

Okay, I fixed it. I installed Nvidia drivers in maintenance mode and now it works. Here's what I did:
1) download nvidia drivers from nvidia.com
2) boot into maintenance mode
3) run
#apt-get install build-essential module-assistant
#m-a prepare
4) run nvidia installation package
5) exit maintenance mode
Hope that works for you too.
