[SOLVED] resolution remains
debian 4.0 r3 w/gnome 2.14.3
i go to change screen resolution from 1280x1024 to 1024x768.
screen goes black and login window appears (which it is not supposed to do; i disabled it).
i log in and resolution remains 1280x1024.
anybody know how to fix this?

If you don't want to run 1280x1024, maybe you can delete that entry from your xorg.conf file so that it's not an option.
