It is not possible to use the 2.6.18 for my system, but how to make this application to see this 2.6.22 as 2.6.18.... Is it possible ??? ( that application is using this kernel for some internal purpose, am not having control over it, so in system how to make this 2.6.22 to show like 2.6.18 )

If you cannot get the app to work with 2.6.22, then maybe you can update the application. What is it? It also could be a simple matter of updating a few libraries. Can you post the error message it gives when you try to run it?
