    strange crash

i use lenny, nvidia's driver (sli), compiz...

    every thing worked fine...

    i have tried hibernate --force

after restarting the system only the keyboard works. compiz is somehow dead, i cannot move the mouse (but it is on lsusb). with the keybard i can only open new nautilus windows. but nothing else, no tabbing an so on. when i switch to the console with ctrl+1 and restart gdm, the screen shut off and i have to restart. somehow only "half" of the system starts... i have also reinstalled gnome, gdm, compiz. no change. dmesg shows no error. metacity --replace does not work.

how can i load defaults for gnome desktop and all the stuff?

    thx
