Hi,

I'm creating a replacement proxy server at my organization. Currently the old proxy server is running Debian 3.1. I've installed Debian 4.0 without a desktop (it's all commandline) and squid on the new hardware. I need to run SOCKs with Squid. The old proxy server has an extensive squid.conf file and a couple of socks config files that I will be moving over to the new proxy server. I want to insure I install the correct version of SOCKs for the config files to work. I'm running squid version 2.6.5.

Where can I download SOCKs and how do I configure it? I've seen SOCKs Dante server in my travels around the internet. Do I have to use this version, or is there a generic version I can use? I will need to run SOCKs version 5 as well.
Thanks for any help.
