Configure Proxy setting from the commandline

    Hi again,

Ok I'm on a roll. While I'm add it; being I don't have a desktop installed on my new Debian 4.0 install (can't for organizational security reasons); how do I configure proxy settings through the firewall (with username and password authentication) from the commandline?

What file do I configure? Any examples would be appreciated as well.

    Thanks much!

I am guessing you mean to connect to a proxy, not setup one.

add the lines to bashrc like suggested.
