    video blinking with compiz

    Hi all

i've been using debian etch and now that ATI droped out the newest driver for his cards i set up compiz , but i ran into a serious problem.

The video is blinking in mplayer when i use the gl or gl2 video ouput and ther is no picture if i choose any others, other video players like xine and vlc only have sound but no picture.

how can i solve this proble?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    iwanabeguru,

Did you first encounter these problems after installing and enabling compiz? Usually this can be a simple codec problem. I would recommend you download the libxine packages from the Debian repositories if you haven't done so as well as the w32codecs.

Sometimes it's just certain media types - which I believe is the case here. (I had similar problems)
