    [SOLVED] Trouble getting sound installed

I have a Toshiba Tecra 730 XCDT with a Pentium 150MHz & 48Mb RAM, running Debian 4.0 Stable. I cannot get sound to work, when I run alsaconf it doesn't detect my card. I cant find any info about the sound chip and I'm not sure what to try next..?

    Any advice greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

It might just be that there are no drivers available. Run "lspci -v", find where it says "Audio device:" and make sure it's being recognized correctly. After that do a search on the make and model to see what others, with the same hardware, have done.

Thanks for replying, lspci -v doesn't list any audio devices, it lists my display adaptor, the cardbus slots, and my ethernet card..

    Solved it:

    Code:
    $modprobe cs4232 io=0x534 irq=5 dma=1 dma2=0
