    sound does not work in kubuntu



    i have installed kubuntu-7.10 in my PC
    and i have many users in there
    all applications are installed by (aum) user and it can access sound
    but, other users can not access sound ???? !!




    anyone have solution of this problem
    so suggest me

    add every user to the audio group maybe called sound too or something similar
    you can do this from the graphical interface

    Install all ALSA packages via Synaptic, or "apt-get install whatever".

    Update existing ALSA (Advanced Linux Sound Architecture) packages.
