    OK i just installed debian on my computer and after the boot there is only a command line login.
    I've tried all the #apt-get x-window-system gdm gnome
    but it dowsn't work it says it couldnt find package x-window-system
    can anybody help me?

    This is what it says at the end of the installation

    When you see that dialogue box, you need to select a package group to install or individual packages. As for the error about packages not being found, make sure you apt sources are setup correctly, run "apt-get update" and then install the packages you need.

    how do you select a package?

    When you select "manual package selection", you should be presented with a menu that will enable you to pick and choose individual packages.
