Extremely sensitive mouse in the X Server
Hi
I recently installed a bare-bones Debian in a virtual machine. I've now installed the x server, and the mouse is extremely sensitive. I googled this problem and found that setting the value "Resolution" in the mouse section of the xorg.conf file changes the mouse sensitivity. I set it to a low value and restarted X, but the problem still remains.
What I've noticed is, even if I move my mouse at a slow, consistent rate, the pointer will start slow and then very quickly "accelerate". I've tried installing a desktop environment (fluxbox) just to see if it would make a difference, and it doesn't.
I'm actually using a touchpad rather than a mouse, if that makes a difference.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
