    Sound gone

    Hey!

I accidently shut down my computer by turning off power. My sound is gone since then. I managed to change some configurations (changing the default sound device) to get some sound. I can play music. But sound from browsers is still gone...

I am on Debian Lenny, linux-image-2.6.26-1-486, using soundcard:
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 041e:3040 Creative Technology, Ltd SoundBlaster Live! 24-bit External SB0490
alsaconf doesn't even recognize my card and asks to try "ISA sound card/chip", if I click yes I get:

    "Select driver to test:
    opl3sa2
    cs4236
    cs4232
    cs4231
    es18xx
    es1688
    sb16
    sb8"

Also, a couple of days ago this helped:
    asoundconf list
    which returned my soundcard, then:
    asoundconf set-default-card External
Today I was playing around and messed things up again, now asoundconf list doesn't even return my soundcard and nothing helps, so I'm totally soundless.

    Can anyone help me ?
