    bios problem

    I have asus x52s laptop. My os is latest debian etch. Here is error message in dmesg listing :

    I have problem with alsa driver too. I check installation. Everything looks good but I can heard sound. My audio device is Intel corporation 82801H. Nvidia drivers works good on my 9300M.

    Try passing the acpi=off option to kernel at boot time. Does that help?
