    Apt-get help

    Here's the error message I receive when I run apt-get -f install:

    root@pc-1:/home/sk# apt-get -f install
    Reading Package Lists... Error!
E: Encountered a section with no Package: header
    E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/ftp.de.debian.org_pub_debian_dists_testing_main_bi nary-i386_Packages
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

What am I supposed to do? I cannot download or install anything using apt-get because of this.

Did you run apt-get update prior to running apt-get -f install?

I figured it out - for some reason a program wasn't removed when it should have been and for some other reason I needed to manually update the glibc package. It's fine now. Thanks for replying
