From what I can gather, there are 4 slots. 2 slots are being used, each being 512MB, equating to 1014MB using the DDR type (not DDR2 then?) and 400 speed. I just want to make sure I'm clear on this before I purchase anything. Any help would be great, thank you!

    what do you want buy?

if you wnat buy some more memory you need to figure out the timings. You can do this with decode-dimms which you can find in the lmsensors package.

Sometimes the bios reporting will give enough details to buy more memory. Crucial memory's web site has an extensive database of memory cross-references not to mention their prices are pretty good and shipping is fast.

If you built your system, the mobo manual should have memory details.
