My debian lenny is facing two strange problems. All on a sudden the display in KDE got distorted. All the letters got replaced by square blocks, especially menu. Also it fails to load the KDE taskbar. The glossy colors of GDM is replaced by plain white. I tried with dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg but all in vain. The gnome too is a little distorted , some apps like gone-terminal is not usable as nothing gets displayed. This happened all on a sudden while I was working on the system.

Another problem is that the DNS setting in resolv.conf gets vanished after every reboot. I have to manually enter DNS setting after every boot.
