Throw us a bone here Dante.

Where does it hang in the boot?
    > Ok i missed this in your last email. But what are the few things before this error.
    What is the last message?
What type of hardware are you installing on?
Is is a basic Pentium with EIDE internal disks?

For Linux install problems always go down to basics. Remove everything except for the CPU, memory, single disk, CDROM, network card and video.
Remove all your other cards and stuff as well as turn off all the extra stuff in your BIOS. You don't need serial, parallel, USB, bluetooth...
