Dist Upgrade
I had currently have ETCH running on a file server and I want to upgrade to Lenny, I know how to do it my only question is once this is done should I run any particular commands to clean up the system (by clean up I mean downloaded files temporary files etc etc) ?
Thanks...
- 01-12-2009 #2this will clean out the apt cache directory (lenny packages and all), so maybe run that prior to dist-upgradeCode:
apt-get clean
will remove packages no longer neededCode:apt-get autoremove
but neither have to be ran. I don't think debian is known for leaving trash lying around the filesystem. maybe others have some opinions.
