Installation is very slow
Hi Guys,
Today I tried Debian installation............but it was failed in middle so I rebooted my laptop. There after installation is very slow , its taking 40 minutes to load vmlinuz and 2 hours to load inintrd
. Still the installation is in progress. I don't what is the problem. Any help guys?

Post your Laptop's specs here. Did you verify MD5Sum of Debain's .iso image?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Intel Celeron Mobile Processor 1.5 GHz
Hitachi Hard Disk 60 GB
512 MB Ram
by the way It is not the first time I am using that DVD for installation. I installed successfully in another PC using the same DVD. Even I tried with Fedora and Slackware DVDs , it is same with other distros installation ..........

It means problem is with Hardware only. Which Graphics Card do you have? Have you tried Text Mode installation?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I have S3G Unichrome video card, no graphics card. Even it is the same with text mode installation.
