Upgraded to Debian 5. When I plug in my PalmPilot Z22, udev makes some really weird nodes the likes of which I've never seen before and to which I cannot connect with JPilot. Here's partial (verbose) output of less /var/log/syslog:
Code:
Feb 24 12:27:44 ~ udevd-event[3238]: udev_node_add: creating device node '/dev/bus/usb/002/004', major=189, minor=131, mode=0664, uid=0, gid=20
Feb 24 12:27:44 ~ udevd-event[3238]: udev_node_mknod: mknod(/dev/bus/usb/002/004, 020664, (189,131))
Feb 24 12:27:44 ~ udevd-event[3242]: udev_node_add: creating device node '/dev/usbdev2.4_ep82', major=252, minor=7, mode=0664, uid=0, gid=20

Feb 24 12:27:44 ~ udevd-event[3244]: udev_node_mknod: mknod(/dev/usbdev2.4_ep81, 020664, (252,9))
Feb 24 12:27:44 ~ udevd-event[3245]: udev_node_add: creating device node '/dev/usbdev2.4_ep03', major=252, minor=10, mode=0664, uid=0, gid=20

Feb 24 12:27:44 ~ udevd-event[3247]: udev_node_add: creating device node '/dev/usbdev2.4_ep00', major=252, minor=11, mode=0664, uid=0, gid=20

Feb 24 12:27:44 ~ udevd-event[3243]: udev_node_add: creating device node '/dev/usbdev2.4_ep04', major=252, minor=8, mode=0664, uid=0, gid=20
Feb 24 12:27:44 ~ udevd-event[3243]: udev_node_mknod: mknod(/dev/usbdev2.4_ep04, 020664, (252,8))
Feb 24 12:27:44 ~ udevd-event[3246]: udev_node_add: creating device node '/dev/bus/usb/002/004', major=189, minor=131, mode=0664, uid=0, gid=20
Feb 24 12:27:44 ~ udevd-event[3246]: udev_node_mknod: preserve file '/dev/bus/usb/002/004', because it has correct dev_t
Then, some of the nodes are removed. I'm not getting the expected tty nodes to which I'm accustomed.

Anyone having similar problems? Got a solution?

Thanks!
