Put # sign before all /dev/sdx lines.
    Code:
    # First line is for external hard drive, last is for flash drive
    #/dev/sda1 /media/usb1 ntfs-3g defaults,umask=0,force 0 0
    #/dev/sda5 /media/usb1 ntfs-3g defaults,umask=0,force 0 0
    #/dev/sda1 /media/usb1 vfat defaults,umask=0 0 0

    # Partition seems to keep changing on me
    #/dev/sdb1 /media/usb0 ntfs-3g defaults,umask=0,force 0 0
    #/dev/sdb5 /media/usb0 ntfs-3g defaults,umask=0,force 0 0
Reboot machine and plug-in External device again.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Perfect, thank you!

The reason I started making entries in the first place is because it was mounting NTFS drives as read-only. A Google search for a way to mount with write access gave me those entries. I don't know if it was a recent apt upgrade or something else, but now it's mounting my Windows drives with write access, so all is good.

Thank you very much for your help.
