I am trying to get a Dell USB wirless NIC to work natively (that is, without NDIS wrapper) with a client's machine with Debian 5 Lenny, 2.6.26-1-686 kernel, and GDE. Getting the following error at boot (as recorded in DMESG) when the NIC is connected:
I seem to have found the solution in what appears to be a driver or patch file but I'm unsure what to do with the file. Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated.[ 14.920096] p54usb: cannot find firmware (isl3890usb)!
