Noivice user; Using RedHat 9 Linux to compile/install "fontconfig" 2.6 produces errors during the "configure" as follows:
conftest - no such file
Failed program was: "confdefs.h"

confdefs.h failed during configure/make
Noivice user; Using RedHat 9 Linux to compile/install "fontconfig" 2.6 produces errors during the "configure" as follows:
conftest - no such file
Failed program was: "confdefs.h"
Assuming that this header file and conftest.c code is part of the c-compiler and is missing for my version.
Any suggestions on how to correct this problem ?
