Minimal Ram?
Hello,
Newbie to embedded Linux!
I want to design an electronic board with a microcontroller which can communicate with some external ram to accomodate Linux. Also, the microcontroller has to be able to communicate with a color 1.5" tft LCD which can display at a collor depth of 16 bits/pixel. (176x132 pixels).
LCD part #: T-51991GD015-MLW-AIN
I will require some extra flash to store my own pictures.
Here are my questions:
1) How would linux know how to load my pictures.
2) For a miniature system like this one, what is the minimal amount of ram required to run the above configuration. I may need to display about 5 pictures on the TFT LCD in continous mode.
All feedback appreciated!
Regards
Rob

May be 8MB ram would be enough.
