I have Debian Lenny installed on an Asus eeepc. The hplip driver in the deb repository didn't work for my printer (HP Photosmart C4500) so i installed the latest and greatest hplip driver. It installed OK, but can't print. My error message is:

"Unable to start filter "foomatic-rip-hplip" - No such file or directory."

All available foomatic filters appear to be installed. I have spent the day googling for an answer with not much luck.

Any ideas how to go about resolving this?
