    I've just reinstalled deb4 but forgot how to enable mount for NTFS partitions and enabling read-write capabilities for all my partitions.

    Installed deb4? Is there a specific reason to stick with etch when you have lenny?
    Code:
    /dev/sdaX   /<your-mount-directory>   ntfs-3g   auto,user,rw,sync 0 0
    where X in sdaX is your partition's number and /<your-mount-directory> is where you mount it. I usually do it as /mnt/win-d or /mnt/win-e... ntfs-3g is for write support for ntfs partitions. I guess ntfs-3g package should be installed for this (?). Same for other partitions you want to mount with respective filesystems.

    apparently for the first and last questions, internet services in my locality are unstable, unreliable and frankly speaking, too much of a luxury...get what am saying?
