twm instead Gnome after installing ATI proprietary

Hi. I was trying to use step by step this wiki guide wiki.debian.org/ATIProprietary and no problem appeared.
But after reboot my machine, I got a just terminal with login. So I ran startx and got twm.
my xorg.conf has same lines like wiki tut. I tried reinstall gnome with apt-get install --reinstall xserver-xorg but no change.

Could you please give me some hints where to start to solve this issue?
    Im new to this stuff.

    Hi and Welcome !

Some thing is wrong with gdm only.
Execute this at command prompt :
    Code:
    su -
    invoke-rc.d gdm start
    Post output here.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Thanks for response.
The output after this command is just another prompt line.
    So no output.

Press Alt+Ctrl+F1 to F7. Do all ttys display command prompt? Does any of F1 - F7 key switch to blank screen?

Hi. Well I had to google for different shortcut=fn+alt+Fx.
Anyway I got command prompt on each(F1-F6) and F7 does not work-no change from previous tty.

/edit: so, dont know what eaxactly happen but I 'solved' it with: apt-get install gnome, apt-get install gdm, dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
Where my gnome dissapeared lol? And whats best, I have: direct rendering: yes.
