Firefox crashes seems to be caused by Java script

When I go to a page with iceweasel/firefox and ,it appears to me, when I leave that page, if Java script was running, it will crash and give a bug report. I do not know how or where to use or send the bug report.
I think it is caused by Java Script because if I turn J/S off it does not crash. there are so many things that require J/S that it is very inconvenient to work around it.
This started when I downloaded the Firefox 3.?.? thinking it would update iceweasel. I seriously doubt that I updated Iceweasel but anyway the problem started. I have used Apt-get to remove and replace Iceweasel and have renamed some of the files titled Mozilla and Firefox to other names but it has not helped.
If you can help please give detailed information on procedures. I am inexperienced and have a hard time figuring out some of the posted instructions
I think I would like to remove all the Firefox/Iceweasel, Java, Java Script, and Flash files from my computer and start over but I do not know how to remove the ones that Apt-get will not get.

You can simply start FF on safe mode to see if that is a problem with some add-on. From the command line:

    Code:
    firefox -safe-mode
And navigate to the problematic page. If the problem persists, you can report to mozilla forums. Here's a nice guide:

How to Report Bugs in Firefox | eHow.com

But if the page works well without add-ons, you can try to enable one by one to see which is the origin of the bug.

    Hugo
    EOF
