Hello guys im new to linux and its great but im having trouble getting my printer/scanner working.
i have a lexmark x2500 all in one printer. i cant find any support for it and i tried alot of things. I did the wine installer to set it up and it only runs half way to where it asks you to connect the printer then it wont reconize the usb. i really need my scanner working because im an artist and scan most my work to my site. if i cant get it to work ill be force to go back to windows please help me get it working thanks inadvance.

Have you tried setting up the printer with CUPS??
Make sure you have CUPS installed, then start here.

i did do the cups but then it asks me for username and password and i put it in and then it continues asking me and wont stop

Try using the system root password.
