I have read all the threads concerning this here, not asking for special handling, but please consider my challenged 77 yrold comprehension level
Running Lenny and XP home on 32 bit HP 2590US (whose only saving grace is 1GB RAM)
Was not able to activate dual in windows but was real close. Whatever I was going for a very short period time I saw 2 monitors, my 15 inch and my external KDS 22 inch. But it left the external as rapidly as it came.Device mgr shows 3 monitors default, external, and plug and play.

So is it harder or easier to activate in Lenny? From that brief view of the 22 inch I surmise I have everything needed or do I?
I will do whatever I need to do to activate this. I only mention the MS experience as an FYI as I seldom use windows and my failing eyesight would really appreciate that KDS monitor.
Please advise and thank you for any and all suggestions
