Complete Linux beginner - need som pointers
Hello there.
We are going to have a Linux experiment in school.
Our assignment is to install Debian without a graphical interface and then complete certain tasks such as partitioning hard drives both during and after installation. Configuring a SSH-service, schedule a backup system and more.
As a complete beginner I found most of this to be very challenging, however I really want to learn.
Now, I do not want you to answer me exactly what to do but I need some pointers, some good beginner guides or guides that explain how to finish some tasks, etc.
Thanks for your help.

since you have asked only for URL's,Now, I do not want you to answer me exactly what to do but I need some pointers, some good beginner guides or guides that explain how to finish some tasks, etc.

Check the link in my signature for lots of good information about getting started with Linux. You can check LinuxCommand.org for lots of good information about using the command line under Linux.
Hope it all goes well!
