Hi. Hope someone can help me out resolve my problem. Here are the details.

I am trying to setup a server with 10TB of HD space on it. The system has a HW RAID card LSI MegaRAID SAS 8704ELP/SAS with 6x2TB drives in a raid5 array giving me 10TB vdrive. I need to use stable ver. of Debian 5.0.2a. I’m using net install. I prefer to have multiple partitions for /,/boot,/usr,/tmp(ext3),swap with most of the space on /home (xfs). During the setup I pick standard install. After the installation is done system reboots and boots off of the raid vdisk. During the boot it stops after loading /scripts/local-top dumps to busybox shell (initramfs). I reboot the system with CD go into rescue and do "update-grub". On the 2nd attempt to boot of the raid vdisk it will boot further than the 1st time and complain about disks being corrupted trying to do FSCK offers maintenance shell. Disks won’t mount and FDISK or CFDISK will not see raid disk properly. In rescue shell I am able to mount things properly. Any ideas or solutions to get the system going with the configuration I need?

Thanks for your help.
