    HDMI with Debian?

Hi everyone! Thanks for reading! So basically i use my flat panel as a monitor and my speakers are connected to TV's audio out so that i can change between PC and PS3 without having to reconnect the sound system. But on Debian I can't set up the sound properly. It works through ALSA if I connect it straight to PC although the sound is TERRIBLY quiet (which is acually another issue)...

But with the TV it doesn't work at all... I had a look on different forums and could not find any proper solutions about HDMI in general, maybe someone here can help me?

    Thanks a lot!

My C-Media USB sound card does not have HDMI support under Linux, the driver does everything else but not that. Maybe you the same? There's a site that says but I've forgotten what it's called.
