    [SOLVED] .htaccess proftpd/apache2

    Hello,

Last night I installed Debian 5.0.3 using the netinstall disk; setup apache2, php5, mySQL5, and proftpd. Everything seems to be working well except for the fact that I am not able to upload a .htaccess file via proftpd. It seems to just delete the file right after I have uploaded. I haven't edited too much of the proftpd.conf file besides the username and group that can connect. Have any ideas?

    Thanks!

I was able to fix the problem by opening up /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf and changing ListOptions "-l" to "-a".

However, now it looks like apache isn't reading my .htaccess file.
